Tkachuk's Overtime Goal Gives Panthers Life

Matthew Tkachuk scored a goal in overtime to give the Florida Panthers a 4-3 win over the Boston Bruins and stave off elimination in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Bruins Control Early

The Bruins controlled much of the early play, taking a 2-1 lead in the second period on a goal by Mason Lohrei. However, the Panthers tied the game late in the third period on a goal by Sam Reinhart.

Panthers Rally in Final Minutes

The Panthers then scored two goals in the final five minutes of the game to take a 4-3 lead. Tkachuk scored the game-winner with just 1:09 remaining in overtime.

Bruins Advance to Eastern Conference Finals

The Bruins will now advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they will face the Carolina Hurricanes. The Panthers' season is over.
