Real Madrid Extends Lead at the Top
Barcelona and Atlético Madrid Trail in Second and Third Place
Real Madrid have extended their lead at the top of the La Liga table, following their 2-0 victory over Osasuna on Saturday. Barcelona and Atlético Madrid remain in second and third place respectively, but both teams dropped points over the weekend. Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw by Espanyol in the Catalan derby, while Atlético Madrid lost 1-0 to Real Betis.
Real Madrid now have a five-point lead over Barcelona and an eight-point lead over Atlético Madrid. With just five games remaining in the season, Real Madrid are in a strong position to win their first La Liga title since 2017.
