Shelley Duvall, the big-eyed waifish performer who won the Cannes actress award for her role in Robert Altman's 1977 film "3 Women," has died at the age of 75, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Duvall, known for her roles in "The Shining" (1980) and several other acclaimed Altman films, returned to acting in an indie horror film "The Forest Hills," which premiered at Smodcastle Cinemas on March 11, 2023.

During her career, Duvall frequently collaborated with Altman, appearing in films such as "Nashville" (1975), "McCabe & Mrs. Miller" (1971), and "Popeye" (1980).

Duvall's distinctive features and quirky screen personality made her one of the most recognizable film stars of the 1970s and early 80s. Her return to acting in "The Forest Hills" marked a long-awaited comeback after decades away from Hollywood.
