Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe have arrived in Berlin ahead of the Laver Cup, and the American duo couldn't be in more contrasting states of mind.

Fritz, who reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals this year, is feeling confident and ready to take on Team Europe.

Tiafoe feeling "absolutely cooked" after long season

Tiafoe, on the other hand, is feeling "absolutely cooked" after a long season that has seen him reach the semifinals of the US Open.

Fritz: "I'm feeling good, I'm feeling confident"

"I'm feeling good, I'm feeling confident," Fritz said. "I've been playing well the last few months, so I'm just looking to keep that going and help Team World win the Laver Cup."

Tiafoe: "I'm just trying to get through this week"

"I'm just trying to get through this week," Tiafoe said. "I'm absolutely cooked. I've played a lot of tennis this year, so I'm just trying to recover and get ready for the Laver Cup."

Despite their contrasting states of mind, Fritz and Tiafoe are both excited to be representing Team World at the Laver Cup.

The Laver Cup is a three-day team competition between Team Europe and Team World. The event was founded by Roger Federer and his management company, Team8, and is named after Australian tennis legend Rod Laver.

The Laver Cup will be held in Berlin from September 23-25.
