Manchester City Confirm Signing of Jeremy Doku

Young Winger Joins on Five-Year Deal

Guardiola Praises Doku's Potential

Manchester City are thrilled to announce the signing of Jeremy Doku from Stade Rennais on a five-year contract. The talented Belgian winger has joined the Premier League champions for a reported fee of £55 million.

Doku has been a long-term target for City, and manager Pep Guardiola believes he can become an even better player at the Etihad Stadium. "Jeremy is a young player with great potential," said Guardiola. "We have been tracking him for some time, and we are delighted to have him here at Manchester City. He is a player who can make a difference for us."

Doku has been capped 10 times by Belgium and was part of their squad at the 2020 European Championship. He is known for his pace, skill, and ability to create chances for his teammates. Doku is City's third summer signing of the 2023/24 season, following the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips.

Doku will be hoping to put his injury problems behind him at City. The 21-year-old has struggled with injuries in recent years, but Guardiola is confident he can overcome these issues. "Jeremy has had some injury problems in the past, but we are confident that he can put those behind him and become a key player for us," said Guardiola.

Doku is a welcome addition to City's squad, and he will be looking to make an immediate impact at the club. The Belgian winger will be hoping to help City win more trophies in the years to come.
