A Minecraft Movie is Casting Jack Black and Jason Momoa

Minecraft, the popular sandbox video game, is making its way to the big screen. Warner Bros. has announced that it is developing a live-action/animated hybrid Minecraft movie, set to be directed by Jared Hess of Napoleon Dynamite fame.
Hollywood Heartthrobs Join the Game
The movie has already secured some major star power, with Jack Black and Jason Momoa signing on to voice roles. Black will play the villainous Creep, a hostile mob found in the game, while Momoa will voice the hero Steve, the player character. The rest of the cast has yet to be announced, but with these two heavyweights on board, the Minecraft movie is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated video game adaptations in recent memory.
